North Okanagan Pipes & Drums in the Community

Our band focuses a lot of our attention to giving back to our community. We strive to participate in as many community events as will have us, including: the Farmer’s Appreciation Day at the Vernon Farmer’s Market, the 55+ Senior’s Games, Vernon Minor Football half time shows, numerous Remembrance Day services in many schools, Senior’s residences and communities throughout the Okanagan, Creative Chaos in Vernon, Kokanee Salmon Festival in Kelowna  and the Oyama Fun Days. We also entertain and perform at Vernon’s Sunshine Festival and Lumby’s Canada Day celebrations.  Another area that we love to contribute to is the charity events in the region. We send individuals and the entire band to many worthwhile charity events such as The Parkinson’s Walk, The Upper Room Mission fundraisers and memorial services, The Walk for Memories, Heart & Stroke Foundation “Big Bike” ride, the Kindale Society events and performances at many Senior’s residences performing for the residents.   All in all our group puts the community first and strive to make this a vibrant region to be a part of.
